My philosophy
I believe that good writing for business - whether it's for a magazine, a leaflet, a booklet or a website - is all about balancing the need to entertain with the need to inform. And whether you're a blue-chip consultancy or a one-man-band, you'll get the same fresh ideas, commitment, and attention to detail which are my watchwords.

Clients: I currently write features for Ryvita's Eat Well Live well website, and wrote the newsletter. I recently spiced up all the content for CurryPedia - the web's biggest and best resource for everything curry-related - and wrote the content for personal trainer Timothy Marsh's new website, going live soon. I also contributed features to Square Mile Fitness.

Editing the Tesco Healthy Living supplement (given away with the January 2008 edition of Tesco Magazine) has been my biggest contract publishing challenge to date. The print run is around 1.5 million. My role as project editor involved seeing the supplement through from beginning to end, from initial ideas generation to writing, commissioning, subbing and final read-through. Reader reaction to the supplement, designed to showcase Tesco's Simple Steps to a Healthier You initiative, was overwhelmingly positive. To see some pages from the supplement, click here. I also edited Tesco's new range of healthy eating leaflets, available free in stores now. Subjects range from organic eating to getting more exercise.

As a freelance sub-editor and writer for Design Unlimited, I've worked on many high-profile projects for blue-chip clients including Visa International and Masterfoods. I recently worked with Cicero Consulting, the UK's number one financial services public policy consultancy, to develop a monthly health policy briefer.

I'm happy to discuss any projects, big or small.
